 Individualized Expert Treatment
We recognize that each resident is unique and each type of treatment is different -- the best treatment for one resident may not be right for another. So you can rest assured that the treatment recommended at Mountainside will be the best one for each resident. And while we are best known for our innovative and comprehensive treatment approach, we take particular pride in the compassion and dedication of our counselors and other healthcare staff.

At Mountainside our staff provides on-going communication to each resident and their families (as well as their employers and/or other designated contacts) throughout the residents’ stay.  We understand that residents and their families are important members of the treatment team, and that building good relationships will enhance the treatment process and ensure a smooth transition when the resident has completed their treatment.

 A Team Effort
We have a unified approach to addiction treatment, with a treatment team of counselors and other highly trained and credentialed treatment professionals who work together to guide each resident through diagnosis, treatment, recovery and aftercare. We have counselors devoted to diagnosing a resident’s addiction history, others focus on relapse prevention, education and gender specific issues, another concentrates on alternative methods in our innovative Mind-Body-Spirit and Yoga program, while another team focuses on group and individual responsibility in our Adventure Based Initiatives program, and so on. These teams have a depth and breadth of experience that is unsurpassed. Using this approach, the treatment plans reflect the combined expertise of many highly trained addiction treatment professionals. This approach also ensures that residents who need several different treatment modalities to compliment their personalities and meet their individual needs will receive the ideal combination to ensure a successful recovery .
